'Meatballs' Still A Feast at US B-O

SEPT 28, 2009 - Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs topped the US weekend box-office again grossing an estimated US$24.6 million and lifting its total to a solid US$60 million in just 10 days. The movie will open in Malaysia on Oct 15.

The other new items on the menu, like Surrogates and Fame (2009) Pictured, didn't take off as well as expected. Surrogates, starring Bruce Willis, started its first weekend with an estimated US$15 million on about 3,600 screens at 2,951 sites, while dance flick Fame earned an estimated US$10 million on 3,400 screens at 3,096 sites.

Newcomer Pandorum opened the weekend at No 6 with US4.4 million while Jennifer's Body dropped to No 8 on its second week taking US3.5 million for a cumulative US$12.3 million.
