'Easy A' Also Axed in Malaysia

OCT 6, 2010 - Sony Pictures has announced that college comedy Easy A will not be released in Malaysia. The movie, starring Emma Stone and Amanda Bynes, was scheduled for a November 18 opening here. It opened States-side on Sept 17, 2010.

Easy A is a well-liked comedy that satirises the culture of sleaze and slutiness - where values like virginity is frowned upon by the youngsters. The movie, directed by Will Gluck on an estimated US$8 million budget, grossed US$32 million so far.

This pull-out comes follows that of Scott Pilgrim Vs The World by UIP recently (see post below).
