Michele Chen and Ko Chen-Tung

You Are The Apple Of My Eye is a romantic comedy based on the best-selling novel by Giddens Ko, who also made his directorial debut. Ever since it opened at the Hong Kong Summer International Film Festival in August and reigned at the Taiwan box-office for more than 40 days, there has been a clamour among Chinese youths for it to be shown in Malaysia.

The coming-of-age movie, starring Ko Chen-Tung as protagonist Giddens, and Michele Chen as the 'apple of his eye' Shen Chia-Yi (above), recalls Giddens' student pranks and his earnest pursuit of Chia-Yi. It has a good balance of laughs and romance.
